Start your Gold Coast Hinterland adventure from our pick up location in Arundel. Take a 30min drive along Beaudesert-Nerang Road to the town of Canungra. Nestled in the foothills of the Lamington National Park.

Canungra QLD
Canungra Village

Canungra has become the main service center for the south-eastern part of the Scenic Rim region. It serves a community of more than 1200 people, plus military personnel from the nearby Kokoda Barracks.

Stop in at one of the towns cafe’s or bakery. Stroll the street and op shop for a classic novel or vintage fashion

Canungra is also home to a burgeoning wine industry and state-of-the-art equine facilities. One of our favorite wineries is Sarabah Estate Vineyard. Sarabah Estate Vineyard is a family owned estate located just outside Canungra hidden in a valley along Lamington National Park Road. Open Friday to Sunday to book your lunch at the Chalet Bistro, Sunday breakfast, picnic in the vines, or hang out with our farm animals and house alpacas.

After you pick up a few locally sourced goodies from Sarabah Estate, chuck them in your Dometic fridge while you head up to the Lamington National Park. Lamington National Park is known for its natural environment, rainforests, birdlife, ancient trees, waterfalls, walking tracks and mountain views.

Elebana Falls Lamington National Park QLD
Elebana Falls Lamington National Park

For a short walk we recommend heading to Elebana falls followed by the the Moran falls to take in the view of the rolling hinterland hills and have a picnic.

The Lamington national park is covered by more than 150 km of clearly marked walks some are short and others are steep and take up to seven hours to complete. The park contains more than 500 waterfalls, including Elebana falls and Running Creek Falls in the south of the park which falls into a box canyon.
